As a photographer my physical environment is always full of surprise and delight. My visual world is filled with colors, patterns, streets, buildings and people that show me the way the natural world integrates into the urban landscape. My images illustrate a small part of my vision as I follow the light of place. All photographic images copyrighted by the artist.

Following The Light of Change
I’m very excited to announce a showing of my photographs at the Ballard Works artists’ work spaces, 2856 NW Market Street in Seattle from November 9 through December 6th. I am showing 26 of my photographs which will be displayed on the second floor hall gallery. The theme of my work is capturing images of our ever changing world and the beauty that surrounds us. You can view by appointment during this month or go to my website at www.thelightofchange.com.
Hope to see you there!

I'm Back
It's been a long time since I've posted. Part of my absence has been the formation of my new photography website www.thelightofchange.com which has been a fun way to share photographs in an easy format. I'm thinking of using this blog now for my travels with Sam. We are ready to launch into our retirement and I'm thinking this would be a good place to post photos and comments for our various trips.

North State Fires
Every summer in the California North State we are keenly aware of the fires that ravage our forests. This year has been particularly intense as the many fires burning coincided with triple digit temperatures up to 110 degrees. For weeks in Forest Ranch we have been experiencing unusual heat and smokey air. This is a view of the sun rising through the smoke on the ridge.
